Meet The Maker

I’m Al and in short…I’m obsessed with golf.

From a young age all my free time was consumed by the game, eventually making it into the Scottish boys squad aged 16. Knowing that I was never going to challenge Tiger, I headed to uni to complete a degree in engineering whilst playing in the golf team.

Somehow I managed to bring even my studies back to golf, when I completed a PhD in golf ball design funded by The R&A (The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews). Wandering up the 18th of the Old Course was a fine stroll to work.

Twenty years later my passion for golf has never left, in fact you could say it’s developed into all things related including my love for unique, well-made golf accessories and products… which has led me to creating ScotSticks with the launch of traditional alignment sticks handcrafted in Scotland.

My goal is to provide golfers with high quality, high performing golf accessories from the home of golf.
